This sculpture was inspired by another great old ‘60s TV show, Lost In Space. On every Sunday, this program would close out with one of those ridiculous cliff-hanger endings. Just about every episode contained the robot saying something to the effect of: “Danger Will Robinson, Danger!”

For some reason, I loved the Ray-guns they used; the ones with that ring on the end. I would often fashion my own out of wood and wire… okay, so I had to use my imagination!

For this piece, I tried to stay faithful to the show, including the clothes, and that really cool 60s hair-do. I had no easy way to make the robot’s top look like clear glass. Luckily, I was planning on making him burned out, and damaged by fire, anyway.
