A visit to the gallery

The bunny, the ropes and poles, and the modern art sculpture (un idee) on the left, are all polymer clay. The floor and signs are wood, and the other sculpture of a head (untitled) is plasticine.

I had a job selling interstate tickets at a bus depot in Western Sydney at the time, and as very few people were travelling by bus, I brought my polymer clay and tools in and made the bunny at work. The rest of it I made at home.

I made the modern art sculptures because I wanted to do something other than bunnies, a desire that was to see fruition in some of my more recent works.
