Mooncheese

The bunny is polymer clay and the moon is paper mache. Although you can't see all of the moon in the original picture, the actual model is a half moon that hangs on the wall so that you are looking up at him and he, from his perspective, is looking up at you as well. I used to have it hanging in the garage right up near the roof with black paper behind it, dotted with stars. The local kids would all come over and we'd put the ladder in front of it and one by one they'd all climb up and wave to the bunny. If you stand in just the right spot, it looks as if it's waving at you.

I used the household wok as a mold for the paper mache, which is only a very thin layer.
