Adrift

Made with modelart and plastic resin. The plastic resin had clear green and blue coloring added, along with a pinch (a small blob on the end of a match) of solid grey color in order to create a translucent effect.

A plasticine wave was first made, then the modelart (fimo) lifesaver and pieces of wood were imbedded into the plasticine. This was then molded with latex rubber supported by plaster.

The plastic resin was poured into the mold after the plasticine was removed and the fimo and wood had been replaced into the mold.

This work completed in 1993.
